Ok, so I am not earning enough yet to quit my J.O.B. (just over broke). That means Monday is back to reality and back to sitting at my desk instead of home with my family. I just joined Online Business Alliance and am shocked that everyone isn't involved in this business. It is built on strong business principals - like starting small and growing slowly. It offers a great product (ebook) that is informative for a great ($5) price. This home business is affordable! It is also logical on the way it builds - as slowly or as quickly as you need it to. I am excited to see where this one takes me.

Learning to Run an Online Business

There are so many businesses offered online. Have you noticed? I had my first success with an affiliate program today - my first sale, which netted my $18. Not enough to quit my job over, but it is a start. Now I am hooked. I have spent a lot of time reading and studying to figure out how to do this online business stuff. Everyone claims to have the answer. Here is what has worked for me:
I am using safe lists to email other members about my Health Care (including weight loss) products, two affiliate programs, and my Free Mall which pays commission to you for shopping. I am also starting to research and use free classifieds. Traffic Exchanges seem to work well, but it is tough to open my email account and see over 400 email! Can be overwhelming! I am committed to learning to do this online. I am also very excited about the Health products and what they are doing for me. For example: the oxygen product instantly stopped the pain and itching of a chigger bite between my toes that I got at our 4th of July celebration. It was driving me crazy, as chigger bites can do. I experimented and put the oxygen on one bite and not on another. It worked!! This in addition to sleeping and feeling better. These products are fabulous - and that is just the tip of the iceberg. I tell you more soon....

Getting Focused

I have spent time on the Net searching for ways to grow my home business. Wow! There are more than I ever imagined. How to know which really work and which are scams? I found that I need to stop looking for the next thing that is going to work for me and plug away at doing something! Action, not reaction. Take opt-in email, for example. Great way to advertise to a target audience? Well, this morning I had 211 emails in my opt-in account. I will spend more time going through those to earn credits than is worth, won't I? Because I will not read those emails, just click and wait 10, 15, or 20 seconds, then delete and move on. What makes me think everyone else isn't doing the same? Is anyone really seeing my offer? I doubt it.

So, I have decided to get back to basics and work on a marketing plan and STICK TO IT! No more searching the net and getting distracted by this program or that program! Jumping from program to program is not doing me any good - or giving any program a fair chance. Let's face it, despite all the claims to the contrary, there is no EASY, automatic way to earn $$ on the net. If there were, everyone would do it and it wouldn't work any more.

Besides, the reason I want to work from home instead of selling my time on a J.O.B. (just over broke) is so that I have more time. Now I find myself constantly on the computer for hours and hours, taking all my free time and then some. I hardly spend time with my darling husband, Jim, or my fabulous grandchildren. I have become obsessed. It is going to stop NOW!

So, my next step is to take all this "advice" I have gotten and sift through it and design a program that will work for MY business. A marketing plan, written down and followed. My company, http://www.NoMoreClocks.com, has a great Power of One program. I need to focus on that. No more "schemes".
